2015 AGM
At the recent AGM the top table were re-elected for the 2015 Show. The line up is as follows:-
President:- Mr Kenneth Campbell, Slagnaw, Castle Douglas;
Vice Presidents:- Mr Keith Davidson, Halmyre, Haugh of Urr, Castle Douglas and Mr Sam Hutton, Buittle Mains, Castle Douglas. 
 
2015 Intro
Stewartry Agricultural Society is looking forward to his 69th Annual Show on Thursday 6th August 2015. The charitable aims of the Society incorporate the advancement of Agriculture, the improvement of Stock, the encouragement of those arts with which Agriculture, Industry and the rearing of stock are associated, and the promotion of the Agricultural, Manufacturing and Pastoral interests generally. The means to be employed for these ends shall include the holding an Annual Show, or any other measures calculated to advance the interests of Agriculture and Industry, and the consideration and discussion of any matter associated with the above subjects.Under this guidance the Society continues to hold a traditional Annual Agricultural Show based in the grounds of Stewartry Rugby Club at Greenlaw, Castle Douglas, Dumfries & Galloway. This event is run by Stewartry Agricultural Society, under charity number: SCO10703 and Registered Company Number SC349976(Scotland)'Stewartry Show' incorporates an agricultural livestock show along with family entertainment and horse events. There is literally something for all ages, based around community groups and entertainment from farther afield. It is truly a family outing, with a warm welcome and friendly atmosphere! Entertainment and Competition ProgrammesThis year’s entertainment and competition programmes will include the following:
  • Livestock Judging (Begins 9.30am)
  • Horse Events - Open to Dumfries & Galloway - (Begins 8.30am)
  • Dog Show (Open to all entries accepted on field up to 11.45am on showday)
  • Industrial Section (Begins 9.30am)
  • Craft Marquee
  • Trade Stands
  • Main Ring Entertainment - Riders of the Storm - Scotland's Equestrian Stunt Team
  • Children’s entertainment
